Strengthening Our Early Childhood Professional Development Community - One Stepping Stone at a Time
Strengthening Our Early Childhood Professional Development Community – One Stepping Stone at a Time
Together we will create our own professional learning community. Using a peer learning team model, we will work collaboratively in an intentional and systematic way to deepen our individual and group learning about professional development. Our goal will be to foster a shared vision in answering the question, “How can we collectively provide better early childhood professional development in the future?” This Opening Session will include several breakout learning team sessions, along with whole group debrief opportunities.
Creating a Peer Learning Team
- What is a peer learning team? What are the benefits?
- The role of the facilitator.
- The elements of a successful peer learning team.
- Protocols to support meaningful professional development.
The Forum offers numerous values. From the high level of presenters on the cutting edge in their fields, to the opportunity to pause and reflect on our work. The Forum has offered clarity and will help us in our work with early childhood educators. Everyone would benefit from attending the Forum, and I can't wait to attend again next year!"
