Caitlin Lawrence-Toombs

The Glen Price Group (GPG) is a Northern California-based consulting group that serves nonprofit, philanthropic and public sectors with strategic and action planning; funding research and grant proposal development; systems change and collaboration support; and policy research and analysis.

As GPG Vice President, Caitlin leads effective strategic planning, partnership development and proposal development processes with an emphasis on convening multiple organizations, often across sectors. During her time at GPG, Caitlin has supported several successful statewide initiatives and task forces in the public education sector in California. Caitlin provided facilitation, coordination, research and writing for the development of Transforming the Workforce for Children Birth Through Age 8: Implementation Plan for the State of California (2016) and continues to support aligned implementation efforts. Caitlin received her BA in Political Science with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles. Caitlin has worked at GPG since 2011.

Part B: Transforming the Workforce for Children Birth Through Age 8
This presentation will provide an overview of the Transforming the Workforce for Children Birth through Age 8 (TWB8) initiative in California and associated communications materials. Through this session, participants will:

  • Briefly learn about California’s TWB8 implementation plan, including the process for its development, implementation work to date, and next steps;
  • Learn about the emerging systems framework and associated components of a professional early learning workforce system of support in California; and
  • Review TWB8 communications materials and offer feedback on key messages and communications tools.

The session will include an overview presentation followed by an opportunity for stakeholder input.
