Elsa Leal, MA

Elsa Leal, MA has been with Child360 for more than a decade. In her current role as Family Engagement Supervisor, Elsa leads the Family Engagement team, which empowers programs with tools and strategies to engage families including The Strengthening Families Protective Factors framework from the Center of the Study of Social Policy. She also supports her team in delivering trainings and technical assistance to early learning educators in support of QRIS implementation efforts.  Prior to this role, Elsa served as a Parent Engagement and Resources Supervisor and Family Engagement Specialist.

With years of nonprofit management and social services experiences, she attributes her passion for educational justice as the catalyst and foundation for the work she does now. Elsa’s career has followed a strategic path of supporting and empowering local families. She previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Moldova, where she supported the largest social services nonprofit in the country to build the infrastructure to launch a national foster care program, helped to open the second childcare center in the country, and supported educators and social workers with trainings on the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework.

Elsa has a BA in Sociology from California State University of Los Angeles, and a Master of Arts in Human Development with a concentration in Social Change from Pacific Oaks College.
