Teresa Byington, PhD is an Associate Professor/Extension Specialist in Early Childhood Education at the University of Nevada, Reno (Cooperative Extension). Her research interests include early childhood literacy, professional development (training and coaching) and the social-emotional development of young children. She is a frequent presenter at local, state and national conferences. Teresa is the PI (Principle Investigator) for several grant funded projects including the Infant Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate (CDA)/Coaching Program, Quality Rating Improvement Systems (QRIS) Environmental Rating Scale assessors and Nevada READY! Professional Development (training and coaching) grants. She is a trainer and coach and also trains other early childhood coaches on reflective coaching.
